The Stourhead Show is held in the ancient parkland of Stourhead House.  It is good turf on greensand soil.  Greensand soil drains quickly but does not compact so even after heavy rain the going is still good and not boggy.  Before each show the state of the going will be posted here so the show jumpers and other interested parties know what the going is like..........
